Marble Mountain Wilderness.

Just completed a 3 day 2 night hike (my first since a mild heart attack a year and a half ago) in the Marble Mountains of N. California. The trail began in a lush forest canopy eventually opening up to Sky High meadow


I spent the first night at Sky High lake and got my first good view of Marble Mountain


Second was a 4 mile walk to Shadow lake which was directly above and drained into Sky High Lake.


The final day was a quick 8 mile descent to the trailhead which I shared with this guy. That’s a size 16 for reference.

That seems like a jumbo black bear print...that is a bear print right? Or Sasquatch...I will make sure to take a friend with me when I get up there. Haha

Right now is a great time to go as the main access road is washed out which means less grazing cattle.
