Is it summer yet in your neck of th woods?

Our daily highs in the Gallatin Valley aren't even up to your daily lows. Not even close for most days. This has been a very cool spring here. We've maybe gotten to 80 once this year so far, weeks ago now. Haven't had to turn on my AC yet!

Don't know how you Texans manage. I've got a friend in Austin, and it always kills me hearing about how hot it is there. Haha.

We set an all time record for th heat index…117 yesterday..today they are forecastin 118..is this August?

How do you even manage? My friend in Austin said he was playing in a recreational softball game last night, and when the game ended at 10:30, it was still 92 degrees outside. Yuck.

By comparison, I ran the heat in our house this morning. It was 37 degrees out and the roofs had frost on them. Had to wear gloves, long pants, and a jacket on my bike ride.

TroutW .......... Saw it was melting asphalt

Our high was 59 d

They are still working on the Tioga Pass Road through Yosemite. Thick ice and a damaged road bed is making the process much more difficult than usual. The latest opening of the road in history is July 1. That might change this year.

Sawatch mtns looking west from near the summit of Elbert, on June 19. While winter snowpack was just above average a cool spring kept it all lingering
