Info on Tehipite Valley

Want to get away from the Bay Area for a week or so in late May/early June... I've read a little about Tehipite Valley up the Middle Fork Kings River and I am very intrigued... my dream trips always revolve around ascending up river valleys, working your way towards the headwaters and through different life zones

anyways, there is not a lot of information online about this area... anyone got any info/tips/recommendations related to backpacking in the area? anything you can offer is greatly appreciated!!!
