Info on Rush Creek -> Marie Lakes -> Thousand Island -> Rush Creek

I am planning to do a 3-4 day backpack from the Rush Creek TH to Marie Lake and then back to Thousand island Lake and then out to the rush Creek TH in August. My Understanding is that Waugh Lake will be mostly if not totally dry. Our plan is to camp somewhere near Waugh Lake area on night 1, Marie Lake on night 2 and then Thousand Island Lake on night 3. A couple of questions:
1. Is there any reasonable place to camp between Gem Lake and Waugh Lake?
2. Is there any place to cam by Marie Lake?
