This is one of my favorite tent pics ever. It's not my tent, we shared my friend's tent back then (all 3 of us jammed in a 3 person backpacking tent!). This is at Rocking Horse lake after a vicious storm ripped through. We set up the tent during the worst of the storm, and the job of 1 person was solely to hold on to the tent in the ripping winds to keep it from blowing away while the other two of us put it up and secured it with any rock and spare piece of parachute cord we could find. After the storm passed, we were treated to a show of light, clouds, and mountains that was simply glorious.
Here's my tent in 2019 in the Wrangell-St. Elias backcountry.
