Got $4000 on hand? Then this in home freeze dryer might be appealing.

As one who likes to grow some of their own food, it would be awesome to be able to freeze dry a lot of that food, not only for long term emergency storage at home, but for making my own freeze dried trail meals as well. Looks rather awesome! Probably not a bad deal considering it can run around $3000 for a 3-6 month supply of freeze dried meals for a family of 4. It could certainly pay for itself over a few years if you're one who regularly gets out and thrives on Mountain House type meals in the backcountry.

I bought a dehydrater last summer but I been only drying fruits and vegetables. I get frustrated how much time I have to spend to clean and cut

Yeah. That's the down side of making your own trail meals from scratch.
