Unemployed and seeking some footsteps on dirt, I want to start hiking around Los Angeles and the surrounding mountains (I'm sure there's something to do here).
However, I have a somewhat odd request: I want to wear a Very Big and Whimsical Hat while I hike. I am inspired by Snuffkin from Moomin and Raani from Elden Ring. As such I want to wear a hat that completely covers my shoulders and arms like an umbrella would.
This of course is a strange request but it is the image of hiker I wish to be. My question is: How practical is a Very Big and Whimsical Hat while hiking? If practical, are there products like that? And if not practical, why are they not used?
