That is a lot closer to mountains than I was, but still a little far FL sucks for backpacking, but sometimes I miss the beach

Doing some stuff in Zion. I had a hard time getting permit reservations.

1. Western Rim Overnighter
2. Kolob Trail overnighter via Lee Pass to Kolob Arch Trail.

3. Kanarraville Creek Trail

4. Bottom up on the Narrows
5. No luck on Subway lottery
6. Day hikes on the Eastern Rim (Observation Point)

Yes. It seems there are tons of trails. We were hoping to have multiple nights of camping/hiking but I had limited success in reserving camp sites.

Found out to late that there is dispersed camping allowed on BLM Land.

Any suggestions for our next trip?

The Florida Trail, around a 1,000 miles long, is a lot of fun but due to heat it's best hiked during the cooler months.

I prefer the SE quadrant of Utah. Cedar Mesa, Bears Ears, San Rafael Reef. It's almost endless.

On Cedar Mesa I like Moon House ruin. Short hike but plenty to see at the ruin. The Fish and Owl Canyon loop is great. 17 miles I believe. We spent two nights. Most any of the canyons are great for just stumbling around.

In northern Bears Ears you have Salt Canyon which takes you into Canyonlands NP. Permit required. All American Man is around 8 miles from that end I believe.

San Rafael has many slickrock canyons. Little Wildhorse and Bell being the most popular

It's almost endless. Pick an area and do a search on here. You'll get plenty of hits.
