Hartnet Road is one of two roads from UT 24 into Cathedral Valley.

We startet at Cathedral Valley. Not that much to say, except a mix of pictures from 2011 and 2013 but this might be interesting:

In 2011 we discovered a connencting trail to Caineville Wash Road. Unnamed, as far as we know. We called it Halfway Trail, due to the fact, that someone who find the Fremont River to high to ford not necessarely has to go back the whole distance to Cathedral Valley and Caineville Wash Road. From the river ford to UT 24 via Cathedral Valley is about 56 miles, with Halfway Trail the distance is reduced to approximately 25 miles.

2013 we were on an even shorter connection via an old mining road from North Blue Flats into Red Desert and down to Caineville Wash. This adds up to about 12 miles - pretty short in comparison.

In 2011 we found Hartnet wash running after thunderstorms. Wash and road are partly the same.

At 12S 0487950 4247476 is a road/trail triangle. Halfway trail runs from this point to the east.

Further down Hartnet Road the next shortcut to Caineville Wash Road at 12S 0491160 4241260. First a trail later a road through the Red Desert to Caineville Wash.

Amazing rock formations. It's impressive how much you can see via off road vehicle in UT. Thanks.

Sweet pictures of one of my favorite areas to visit. The drive from Cathedral Valley up into the 1000 Lakes Mountain's is just amazing.
