Hardly a noob to backpacking---we have our own backpacking website for the Sierra Nevada: backpackingthesierra.com

But I am a refugee from the backpacking magazine boards, which seem to have lost their way. Thought I join this community to see how things are going here. Nice to meet you all--and I look forward to reading what you have to say, and sharing what I can.
