Guess the spot

I know this probably isn't correct, but it reminds me of some of the washes we would hike when I lived in the Southern California desert, near Anza Borrego State Park or Joshua Tree National Park.

Overshot it to far west of western utah, Its in Nevada but not Death Valley

No guesses in a week? The canyon is near Moapa, NV and contains a dam in it's slot.

Hmm...doesn't look like Utah. Maybe Colorado or something up north...maybe Montana? Cool looking area though!

Looks a whole lot like Glacier, but I don't know the area. I'm sure one of our Glacier experts can chime in.

Yep, @Scott Chandler got it. This is the Sperry Glacier basin in GNP, looking north towards Logan Pass area (Bearhat Mountain to the left, Reynolds Mountain to the right).

You're up!

Cedar Mesa?

Yay! I wish I could say I've been to Sperry. At this rate I won't be back that direction until the glaciers are gone :(

Maybe a hard one but quite the popular area so maybe not.

Cedar Mesa almost for sure. And it looks a whole lot like Slickhorn Canyon just above where you drop down to the canyon bottom.

If you're able to change some things and make it happen, I highly recommend it. The hike into the Sperry basin is one of my all-time favorites. We also stayed at Sperry Chalet the night before, which was the only way I could convince the wife to agree to do the trip with me. ;)
