This peak is very near the location of an important (and some ways decisive) battle in the 1800s.

Okie dokie how about a big hint. I actually don't know if this is true but in another time the barflies told me about it. Seems reasonable but id be happy to be corrected.

Depending on how you count, this peak might be considered the first (or last) "Rocky Mountain."
