[Big Sky Boiler]

Hi everyone! Really grateful to have found this site. It looks like a treasure trove of information.

I presently live near Ft. Wayne, IN but I’m about a year away from building a place in SW Montana, and because “Big Sky Boiler” sounds much cooler than “Ft. Wayne Boiler,” that’s what I went with, even though it’s a bit premature.

I’m an avid day hiker and love hitting the trails of Yellowstone, Grand Teton, RMNP, and generally anywhere, but especially in the west. I’ll be looking to do some backpacking once I’m local. The Yellowstone Thorofare Trail is a bucket list item for me.

Headed to YNP in a couple weeks for a far-too-brief stay en route to another destination, but hope to find a couple passable trails while there for a long weekend.

It's a paradise for hikers. Once you're local, you'll have endless trails at your doorstep. The Thorofare is a beast, but absolutely worth the dream.
