Checking in as 1/2 of a backpacking pair who successfully completed our first big trip last year — Mt. Rainier's Wonderland Loop — and are keen to do more. We received a reservation spot through the Yellowstone early permit lottery this year, and as Washington state residents we have a lot to figure out before our window opens on April 10.
