Grand Teton Renews Historic Crest Trail

Lol, so inside the Park will be a highway now ....... Except its not the real highline route. Paul Petzolt created that one.....

The route: Petzoldt's High Adventure Trail traverses the Teton Range for 67.5 miles, linking existing trails and involving short sections of sometimes-difficult cross-country travel. It runs from WY 22 west of Jackson north to the Lake of the Woods on Reclamation Road to Phillips Pass Trail on Teton Pass Road (WY 22)

I have the gpx track if anyone wants it....

The pre-existing rockwork to get the trail up Hurricane Pass was outstanding to begin with. I imagine with these upgrades it's an absolute pleasure to walk. Three cheers for trailwork!
