Spent the weekend camping in Grand Daddy Basin with 14 Boy Scouts ages 14 - 18 yr old. It wasn't so bad with the boys at this age, as we were just along for supervision, and suggestions. We hiked in from the Grandview TH first time for me, and I was amazed at what a leisurely climb it was to Hades Pass. We ended up camping at Betsy Lake just pass Grand Daddy Lake. Fished both lakes and the boys had great success at both. The only downside to the whole trip was the annoying mosquitoes, as dusk set in you were sent to your tent just to find some sanity from the swarms. It has been quite a while since I have seen so many bugs. All in all it was a great trip with the boys, especially being there with my son.
