The road in was no problem, HC/4wd required. Just slow and rocky.

Stayed at the Copper Mountain Mine for 7 days. Lots of relaxing and some day hiking.

Slots, narrows, rock art, a flowing spring and an arch. Had a pleasant mellow time.

Couple highlights

Another really neat mine, or used to be before the Park Service did things out there is the Grand Gulch Mine. My visit many years ago the main cabin had the dinner table completely set with plates and silverware.

The Parashant narrows below Copper Mine are spectacular. We did a backpack loop 7 years ago where we went down Dansill to Andrus canyon to Parashant, then to the Colorado River, down the Colorado River to Spring Canyon, up Spring Canyon and back along the Esplanade to Dansill. We also spent time at Copper Mine and dropped into the narrows from there. I really love that country.
