Good place to camp and hike with kids

Anyone know if a decent area to do some camping and hiking with kids 9 and 12 years old for the upcoming weekend? I would prefer to stay within 2 hours or so of SLC. Usually I would shoot up to the Uintas but I have a feeling the past month has laid down a decent amount of snow up there. The kids are in decent shape and should be able to handle 4-5 miles of hiking. Any ideas are appreciated.
