This is my first post here. I am an experienced backpacker and I am headed to GNP with 3 friends around July 15th. We're eyeing some walk-up permits to do the North Circle Loop, but definitely want to go in with a back up plan if campsites are full or if the Fifty Mtn and Ptarmigan tunnel are closed (detour?).
Do you have any other loop hike recommendations? I've done Grinnell and Dawson-Pit as day hikes.
