Fremont River Waterfall -Capitol Reef

I know a few years back they closed the waterfall on the Fremont River in Capitol Reef because of a few near drownings. After hearing about the closure, I haven't heard much since then. Anybody have any more recent news about it?

Yeah. I'd heard that they'd closed it, and were thinking of doing something to change the hydraulics, but never heard anything else on the matter.

While permanently closed, there is still some space to park by it and I have seen people visiting it a few times since the closure. If you are looking for pics, I think you would be fine to visit. If you are looking for swimming, go elsewhere.
