Hi, Everyone!
Some friends of mine and I are doing a multi-day float down the S Fork in mid-July. Just wanting to poke around for suggestions and tips.
We'll have 7 of us in three boats (one drift, two rafts). Current plan is:
Day 1- Put in near Palisades, take out at Conant - camp at nearby Falls Campground
Day 2- Put in at Conant, float into Canyon section - camp somewhere midway
Day 3 - Put in, finish Canyon section, take out at Cottonwood or Byington
Just open to any and all advice for us. We've never done S Fork before, but have done plenty of day floats on some Montana rivers. My understanding is in July the flows are still usually too high to wade, but are there any channels that are wadable that time of year?
Thanks for any help!
