First official hike and overnight 3-4 day camp trip

Does anybody have any suggestions for guides or a good first route for four experience hikers but novice over nighters? We want to do a killer hike in deserts of Utah. With a guide if necessary or not.

I enjoyed my trips to Canyonlands NP but would avoid it in the summer.

Upper Salt Creek is a good starter hike. There are a lot of trip reports on it.
