The fires this year pushed us out of a couple different places that we wanted to go for our Fall Campout. Luckily I have a long list of places I want to go. Northeastern Oregon had dodged the fires this year and so we made our way down to Troy, Oregon to hike the Wenaha River Trail.
I had never backpacked in Oregon before. I know that the eastern side of Oregon was much different than the western side and I was excited to see some new country.
Although there were no fires this year.... a couple years earlier the river trail had been hit hard by fire. It was a very different landscape than anything that I had hiked before.
As always, we had a great time and enjoyed the trail and the river.
Thanks for checking it out!
