Eberlestock Freefall 3000 ........................ never heard of it.

Less weight you carry the nicer time you have out on the trail..... but light gear equates to more $$. YOu b assemble your gear anbuy the lightest you can afford a the time.

Mystery Ranch makes good "heavy" packs.

After owning multiple Gregory, Osprey and Granite Gear traditional packs I switched to SWD (Superior Wilderness Designs) 2 years ago. I use their UL Long Haul 50L in Ultra 200 black. Its taken a beating here in Southern Utah and has held up great. I did get two small holes in the lycra front stretch pocket but that was probably my fault stuffing too much in. My only complain is it does not do well over 33-35 lbs. The claimed 40 lb limit is not comfortable at all. My base is about 10 lbs so I'll only really push the above the comfort limit when doing more than 7 nights. I've had zero other issues with it.

I'm a little surprised that the Long Haul 50 wasn't comfortable above 33-35 lbs. Used it with about 30 and felt it carried great. Thought it'd be good above that.

My only issue was getting all my gear in it. Had to pack the tent outside with a 7 day food carry and colder weather sleeping bag. Thought I wasn't packing efficiently. Did some testing when I got back and estimated it's closer to 46-48L internal. Others have had the same experience. Just ordered a Wolverine from them. Overkill at 70L, but only a few ounces heavier and stiffer hip belt.
