Album Fall Colors

I'm fortunate that at the moment I live near one of Ontario's largest provincial parks. The leaves are at peak colour. It's beautiful.

There's nothing quite as nice close to my home as what's already been posted, but I took a trip yesterday to catch a few changing leaves on Gentry Mountain.

Gorgeous, ashergrey! Water running down a rut in a dirt road has never looked so good.

I shot thousands of photos over the last few days for work at our 'management retreat' in Park City but didn't make it outside much. I did however make it up to Silver Lake this afternoon to take some photos of my sister and her family. First time shooting outdoors portrait type stuff for me.

I'm going to post my crappy pictures so that everyone will know just how good all the other pictures are!

What is the likelihood of leaves still being on the cottonwoods in Capitol Reef the second week of November? I won't be able to get out there until after the election unfortunately, and am trying to decide between going to Capitol Reef or the Kanab area (I scored a pass to Coyote Buttes North but have been there twice already).

Probably pushing it, especially this year. The Cottonwoods in Zion Canyon should be nice then, or perhaps the first week of Nov. And I swear I read a trip report a long time ago (maybe by IntrepidXJ?), that showed great yellow leaves in Horseshoe Canyon in early November but I can't find it. I was actually thinking of heading that way around Nov 10th and was hoping they might still be holding some color.

Yeah, you're probably right. I'll be in Zion for four days in early November so that'll probably work, but not sure where to go after that. Last year I was in Bryce Canyon on October 6 and caught the first snow! Amazing how it varies from year to year.
