Electric Peak - A Call For Help (Yellowstone)

Hello

I attempted Electric Peak in Yellowstone and came up short. I believed I needed to scale the red tower and then move up the wall, but when I rewatched videos after my attempt it seems that this spot is somehow avoided. I also read some vague guides that discussed going around the red fin.

This spot is after the big up section and after the horizontal crossing (where I stayed at the highest point of the mountain throughout). 2 pictures show the spot I was stuck at, and one shows what behind me looked like). This is NOT the final summit ascent, which I believe looks similar. This is before crossing the narrow spine that occurs just before the final ascent.

My recollection is that going right would lead to instant death due to a drop off, and left was less steep but the wall behind the red rock remained.

Anyone know how to navigate this?

Been a while ... I remember straight forward easy, no scrambling use trail. I think was a small saddle. Would be better if you had a GPS track to show
Ill look may have one.

It's been a while for me as well - I really need to do this one again. But if I remember correctly I think you're just past the small 'saddle' that @Bob mentions. You'd stay left (SW) of the ridge, then there is a fairly easy chute that brings you back up on top.

If you have a *.gpx or even just a coordinate for where you got 'stuck', we could probably give you more. Or maybe someone else has been up there more recently.

And credit to you for calling it a day and turning back when you felt uncomfortable - hard thing to do, but always the right decision.
