It's only 3 miles from the Crystal Lake Trailhead and offers a nice variety of scenery, including a handful of nearby lakes with good fishing.
Like most of the lakes in this area, usage is heavy, especially on weekends during the summer, so don't expect solitude. Boy scout troops in particular seem to gravitate to this area on Friday nights. But if you catch it during the week, or in the off season, you might just have it to yourself.
