Dog abandoned at 14,000 feet, rescued 9 days later

I see this guy pled guilty to animal cruelty and has been sentenced to 30 hours of community service. I'm thinking that's probably less time than the rescuers put in to get the dog off the mountain. Here's the link to the short article from a Denver news station.

30 hours? That's all? Oh man...

Yeah, should have at least given him as much time as that poor pup spent on the mountain. But if it were up to me, it would have been waaaay worse than that...

30 hours is a light sentence. He has to live with what he did, which has to feel pretty terrible. I tend to believe that karma will take care of what the justice system has failed to.
