Dear All, I’m looking for suggestions for the trail to Coyote Gulch via Chimney rock. We have a plan in September to do 2 days backpacking out and back and would like to cut not interesting trail from Hurricane wash TH. I’m familiar with the area and we already did Coyote gulch via Jacob Hamblin/Crack in the wall loop. My questions:
1. The road to Chimney rock is passable by SUV (with AWD) or it’s too sandy and without 4WD it’s not possible to get there?
2. Spending a night near the Chimney rock is it a good idea? And start hiking early in the morning
3. Any gps or track records for the way from Chimney rock to Hurricane wash?
4. any suggestions for the rout are very appreciated!
