Last week we were passing by Goblin Valley during the middle of a 5 day trip and decided to stop and check out the Chamber of the Basilisk route. It took awhile to actually find a parking spot due to the spring break madness but once we got going it only took us 20min to get from the car to the top of the pit. The three of us rapped down into the chamber with no issues and spent a fair amount of time shooting photos before hiking out. We got slightly sidetracked on a social trail that cut west too early but we ended up making it back to the car and completing the route in 1 hour and 33 minutes. Considering how much my kids love playing in Goblin Valley I'm positive I will be doing this one again next time we're in the area.

Is this different from Goblin's Lair? Or different names for the same place?

Different names for the same place. I believe Scott Patterson's son named it Chamber of the Basilisk. If I recall, they were the first to actually explore it from the top. Goblin's Lair seems to have caught on better.
