If you are planning on visiting Cedar Mesa in September/October, remember to check the status of the Cottonwood Wash bridge closure on SR-95, west of Blanding, estimated to last till October 6 ( 60 days after the Aug 6 announcement)

Sounds like somebody's been doing some monkey wrenching!

Thanks for the heads up! It seems like an unnecessarily long stretch of road to close west of the bridge, especially as it cuts off access to a favourite camping spot of ours. That might be a moot point for us though, as the ongoing closure to land traffic from Canada with no announced opening date yet has us wondering if an October Utah trip is going to happen.

That makes more sense. This is what the link that Titans posted said:
"The current closure of State Route 95 extends approximately 28 miles from the Junction of U.S. 191 to State Route 261."
This is from the udot map:
"local travel either east or west of the Cottonwood Wash structure on SR 95 is allowed."

FYI- bridge has been repaired, road open again
