Captioning photos in my post

I managed to upload images to my noob forum post but am unable to see how to edit them, i.e. to add captions to them. Can you help?

I am not sure I actually caption them. I typically add them as a full image, then I will add some text either above or below the photo to describe the picture. If you try a few different things and preview before posting you will probably find a method that works for you. There may be others that can provide more detailed information or an actual method for captioning.
