This is my first post on here. My family and I have not been big hikers in the past and I have made a resolution to change that this year. I have purchased some gear to get us out and see this great state of Utah. We got the kids some hydration backpacks and hiking shoes and sandals and some Osprey packs for my wife and I. On June 3rd we took off for Bryce with the 4 kids. Since this was going to be a quick trip and I wanted to see Willis Creek, we hit that hike first and had a blast.

Here is our clan heading out on the trail.

Having fun in the slot. This is such a great hike for the kids.

We hiked down to the confluence with Averett Canyon and then turned around. By the time you enter the last set of narrows, the creek completely disappears. Here are a few shots I did of the canyon.

Then we went to hike Bryce and that afternoon and evening along with the next day we hit a lot of the popular spots there and can't wait to return.

Overlooking the silent city.

Moon over Bryce. The moon gave off so much light, it was great to hike around in that light.

Nice first trip report! All nice photos, though I really like that last one. :twothumbs:

Great first report! Bryce Canyon is next on my list for Utah national parks to visit. All these years and this is what I've been missing. Very nice photos!

Very nice. :twothumbs:
After hiking Willis Creek last year when it was so full of water makes it a trip to see it so empty this year.

Awesome!!! Killer shots of Willis and Bryce!:twothumbs:

I love Mossy Creek!!!! Did you go above the falls? The creek is really neat above the main falls, lots of little water falls!

Thanks everyone. It was very dry down there. I expected a little more water at Willis Creek than there was. To see the creek completely disappear before the last set of narrows surprised me as I thought there would be something flowing all the way to Sheep Creek.

HomerJ, we didn't go above the falls at Mossy Creek. I wish we would of and I think next time we are down there, we will make sure to do so.
