I had a couple days off work so I decided to go hike the Boulder Mail Trail. I gave myself three days to complete the hike but ended up finishing in two - September 19-20, travelling East to West. The Mail Trail itself was fantastic but, all of the drainages it crosses have extensive flood damage, Death Hollow in particular. I hadn't heard about this or I might have picked a different trail to hike. I had to fight through flood debris just to get to the bottom of Death Hollow, coming down off the Mail Trail. I then spent probably about another hour getting to the exit route out of Death Hollow as most of the trails are gone. . Maybe someone knows for sure but, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Death Hollow down to the Escalante isn't passable currently. Both Sand Creek and Mamie Creek should signs of flooding also but weren't in as bad of shape as Death Hollow. I did some quick searching when I got home and found reports suggesting that those drainages flashed around September 7. I would be curious to know if this is accurate.
