Blast from the Past Trip..... LCR

I’ve come back a few times anxiously waiting to see what year it was . . . I’ll go with ‘84.
Back in the day we didn’t call them jorts, they were “cut offs”, (at least in the Midwest)
which in my opinion is a way cooler name. Jorts just sounds too millennial for my taste.;)
jorts is when you're making fun of people wearing them. cutoffs is for when you're wearing them.

'86 is my guess. Those inflatables remind me of my childhood pool rafts.
I'd really like to see more 70's-90's trip photos scanned in. Seems like a more romantic time to be in the wilderness because of lack of technology and beta, and there were probably fewer people deep in the backcountry.
Way fewer people ..at that time we were the third that we knew of to do the LCR..... Cameroon Az to desert view GC

Your year guesses are all wrong so far....

Wait, you walked all the way down the LCR from Cameron to the confluence with the Colorado, then up Tanner/Tonto to Desert View? I just assumed you'd come in from the north at Salt Trail Canyon. Did you have to get special permission from the reservation back then?

p.s. I'll be shocked if this is 70's. I still think it's mid-80's.

Thanks for the hint. 1993! Found it through Google in a comment you left back in 2013. Haha.

I went back to see who was the closest and it was me. Maybe that means I win a trip down the Little Colorado guided by Bob.
K..... I'll put you in the start and get you picked up at the end. Can't get lost in a canyon I don't think
