Post up your camping nights for 2022! Include a photo or two if you got 'em. The "rules" from @Artemus:

There are no official rules, but a bag night in the tread is typically defined by a night out camping in some form. It doesn't matter if you sleep on a tarp, in a tent, or in the back of your car. It is more of an attitude thing. If you are outside to enjoy nature, if it's camping baby, it's a Bag Night.

My friend @Chris Mosbacker is moving to Germany next week, so for his last hurrah we spent eight days and seven nights around the New Year's holiday on a 1,900-mile road trip through Nevada and California, looking at rock art and camping along the way. My goals for this year are to camp each month, break 40 nights, and camp somewhere between the lanes of an interstate highway (my plans for that last year got dashed due to a death in the family).

Total: 5 Nights

1/1/2022 - Alkali Lake, NV
1/2/2022 - Fish Slough, CA
1/3/2022 - Swansea, CA
1/4/2022 - Indian Wells Canyon, CA
1/5/2022 - Soda Lake, CA

Beautiful! The skating rink in the last one is remarkable!

I took Loa on her first car camping trip this weekend. With a forecasted low temperature in the single digits in most nearby places, I headed for the Moab area where it was only 17 degrees overnight. We slept in the back of the Jeep (where it got down to 19 degrees inside) near Beehive Butte and then hiked around for a bit today.

I meant to camp two nights this weekend, but it was too hot in the Moab area for the hike I wanted to do today. On Friday I drove around exploring the Yellow Cat area and did a hike near the Arches boundary to some rock art. Yesterday I poked around in Salt Wash and Cordova Canyon but didn't see anything terribly interesting.

@IntrepidXJ . I was in a few of those areas myself. My pics look nothing like yours...ha ha! My compliments- you have a real talent with your camera!

Yesterday I returned to the Arches area and finished the hike I'd planned but didn't get to two weeks ago. The weather was perfect this time and I saw some pretty cool stuff.

Just 20 night's for April. That big dummy Putin is screwing up my investment income! Coming off the road, gonna have to get a job maybe for a while.
But more time around Cedar Mesa, Temples of the Sun, and Moqui canyon.

I just got home from a quick overnight trip with @regehr to Cedar Mesa. We camped up top and hiked down into a canyon on an old stock trail to visit some ruins. For my first real trip to the area it was pretty sweet despite being so short (had to be home for Mother's Day tomorrow!).

20 nights to date
After our early spring trips, we spent four days hiking 35 miles (and 8500 feet of climbing) in Kings Canyon:

The Waterfalls were booming

And the views, once you climbed up out of the canyon, were pretty darn nice
