It agree it would definitely need flavors Lisa.I'd try it. Only for backpacking, mind you, but mixed with some powdered drink flavors, it could be an ultralight way to get your buzz on in the backcountry.

Squatters recently put Hop's Rising (9%) in can's too. I'll take that into the Uinta's a couple times for sure.
Have you seen it in liquor stores yet? At 9% and so smooth, that will be one hell of a good backpacking beer. I just got a queasy feeling thinking back to the days of packing Steel Reserve or Old English.
I wish every beer was canned.
