And that's just from one day of shooting. I can't believe I shortchanged this place like that. The year after an El Nino is usually cold and snowy, so next year I will be back here for an extended period of time.

Shawangunk Ridge- the Catskill Mountains can be seen off in the distance.





The blueberry bushes along the ridge turn a deep red in the fall.

From this past weekend in Capitol Reef. Cottonwoods were at about 50% I'd say, should be peaking or close to peaking this weekend. Lot's of variation.

Went to Zion Nat'l Park yesterday. I could not tell if we were early or late or the leaves skipped brilliance and went straight to dead

this year is a weird year for Zion fall foliage. Not the usually brilliant colors and everything is so late.
I have definitely seen better years

It's a late year all around for the west. There was still a lot of green leaves in and around the Green River/Labyrinth Canyon area this past weekend, but a lot of very colorful good stuff too. Way different than a few years back when I floated it in October when there was just a little color hanging on.
