Finally got out to hike the Rattlesnake Trail through Ashdown Gorge!
AWESOME!
There was still a few spots with snow up on Cedar Breaks, but the warm weather makes it great.
We started off early and hit the trail by 8am. We started at the Rattlesnake Trailhead and worked our way down to the Gorge.
Everything is starting to grow up top and is in full bloom as you descend the trail. There are a few fallen logs on the trail, but that's about the only damage to the trail from the winter run off.
I loved when we finally got to the Gorge at Potato Hollow.
The water is running nice and strong right now, but isn't hard to navigate through with the help of a walking stick. It's pretty clear now too!
We made the side trip up Rattlesnake and Lake Creek to see the waterfalls, I will be going back to come down through Rattlesnake with a rope!
All around the 12ish miles were well worth it and a fun hike!
