I have read that, because the face of it faces east and would be at it's brightest before the sun reaches its crest, but I have seen many photos taken in the afternoon that I like a lot. It has a lot of dark spots on the face of the arch and I think they look cool in the shade. The afternoon darkness of it adds to it's mystique I think.when is the best time to take pictures of Druid Arch? Early morning?
