Maybe two of them. One up close, and one from a distance.

yep there was one above the 18th Ave trailhead, I walked right past it many times, but as of recently it is gone

There's one almost exactly like it in the above link and it says it's a climate/water monitoring station.

I'll take credit for all of them. Hauling all those up to their destinations is probably what gave me shin splints.
