Finished one of my "2024 To Do" list. Camped in Acadia NP in early May. Hiked over 60 miles and 10,000' gain. The weather was a lot better than expected and crowds less than expected. Well marked trails and endless stairs, originally constructed by the CCC. Quite a few steep sections such as the "Perpendicular Path" and some iron rung ladders to climb. One section had a fairly steep boulder field. The usual Maine tree roots every step in forested sections just waiting to trip you should you look around while moving. Evidently still a playground for the wealthy judging from some of the mansions just outside the park.
