It was about 5 degrees above zero at the trailhead today, heading into the Ferris Wild Forest to visit Dry and Dexter Lakes. Following a snowmobile trail all the way made for some fairly moderate trekking with plenty of ups and downs. Saw only two people cross country skiing and neither saw or heard any snowmobiles which was a bit surprising. It was so quiet, the only sounds were the popping of the trees in the cold air.

the trailhead sign doesn’t give you any idea that you can visit more places than the cliffs (which is a good hike too).
