My friend and I want to tackle a longer itinerary (think, short through hike or section hike) next summer. I'm hoping that some of you might offer some trail suggestions for us to consider. We aren't interested in moving very fast, just want to be out there for a while. If the trail is relatively flat, we can put down 10-15 mile days. If its got a lot of elevation change, we are looking at 6-12 per day. Hoping for 8-10 days total. Timing is for June or July 2025.

Things to avoid:
Very High Altitude - keep it below 10,000 ft most of the time
Climbs over 2500-3000 ft between campsites (can be somewhat flexible on this)

Wish list:
Views
Beautiful Forests
Not too many people
at least 1 resupply point (but not a deal breaker if there isn't one)
United States
Relatively easy access via airports/transit
At least one water source each day

Some ideas already on the list - please feel free to contribute your two cents on any of these.
PCT Washington Section J
Wonderland Trail
Part of the Long Trail in Vermont
South Dakota Centennial Trail

Wonderland and pct have crowds and logistics. Could look at the CDT section thru the winds. Most stuff out west gets you the elevation and climbs.

The stretch of the AT through NJ is pretty, steep climb at the beginning and end but flatish in the middle. I think that is about 70 miles. It would be very easy to add miles on either end for a longer trip. There would be people, but that is probably true everywhere close to an airport.
