19 Highest Uinta Peaks in 33 Hours

gag...............

Nope.....guess I'm old fashioned, in it for the scenery and slow pace....

Awesome achievement! I think it would be an amazing route to do but not as a race against the clock. To me it feels like those who trail run are missing the point of hiking in the back country.

This is from the article:

“I want to inspire people to set goals with inspiring objectives and develop the skills necessary to execute those goals,” he said. “If you’ve been doing long races, take the skills you’ve acquired and try applying them elsewhere. Get together with like-minded and skilled friends. Use maps. Get out there and explore even if it means a handful of miles up the mountain. Get to know where you live. Utah is a great place to be.”

In regard to moving too fast, I tend to agree, however a route like this could actually be a lot more difficult to do slowly. Moving as fast as they did means carrying a light load and not having to worry about water and storms as much as you would on a multi-day trip through the same terrain.

Reinhold Messner would agree.

Not really into speed records, but that's an awesome route. Cool accomplishment.

Amazing. Just because it isn't something you would enjoy or do doesn't mean you can't appreciate the sheer muscle, strength, and willpower that it would take to pull this off. People are capable of pretty amazing things. Also realize they were on this route through the entire night, meaning they were climbing some of these peaks in the dark.
