I'm an ATS guy as well. the device gives me so many options, its light and well thought out. I love the curve so I can do a low or high friction just by flipping it. I've solved said problem above by tossing a rapid link on my belay loop and I have no twisting issues.
I know that I'm not very good at writing TR's and I feel really guilty. I'm not even that good at keeping up on here in genral. But I feel like I owe a few TR's so when I'm trying *not* to study I'll try to catch up.
I got invited on a last min trip to hit some canyons. I was originally going...

So the other day I was like, hmm, I wanna go to Escalante sometime soon. I wonder what good TR's are up on BCP..so I bombed on over and realized something: the TR's have no categorization for area. We can sort through them by type (ie canyoneering and backpacking) but not by where they were...
So I'm finally seeing some light in my schedule to get my uinta backpacking fix. the last two weekends of this month are looking pretty clear. Yay. I've been looking at doing ibantik one weekend and perhaps duck another. shorter, quicker and easier trips. any other lower elevation trips that...
So... anyone know if/when this will be able to be purchased? I'm dying to watch it. I was in Alaska with no internet when it was streamed online. So jealous to those who got to see it
Nothing too noteworthy, though I did enjoy myself. I didn't have much time to explore but the few times I went running along the one country road it was stunningly beautiful. Made me really wish I could have spent time up there in the outdoors mroe. I went up there to work in a fish cannery in...
I practically missed all mountain backpacking and fun this year. I'm hoping school allows me to hit up the uintas at least once before its too late buutt there's a ton I want to do in sutah as well (again, schol permitting .. :/ ). So much escalante to be explored... I'm just excited to be back...
nice guys! saw a few of your shots on facebook I think and looks like you guys as always got some great shots. Such a nice little destination that's so close to home it almost doesn't feel right
would a top loading washing machine work too? I can take out the center thingy if that makes a difference. anyone know? my imlay ropes starting to join the funk crowd.
How are conditions looking up there? I swear I've seen a post somewhere about trial lake being practically snow free. I'd love to get in a quick backpacking trip there within the next two weeks and wondering what options I have. I'm pretty sure shingle creek is a go, but not sure what else is.
lake blanch is a great one up big! its short and I don't think its nearly as strenuous as people lead you to believe. Don't go on weekends though... red and white pines up little are good destinations as well. I've always wanted to backpack Alexander basin/gobblers knob via millcreek side (dogs...
