I always put in a Taggert and got out of the river shortly after the waterfall near main street after the fair grounds. This was a few years back and my aunt lived right on main street in Morgan so it was convienant. I noticed a bunch of kayakers putting in at Taggert on my way back to Colorado...

Heck ya, just leave a note stating that you went after some night shots. The one backcountry ticket I got was gnarly expensive for having a fire to close to a lake but you never know, they might let you slide.

It sure doesn't sound like it would be legal. Maybe the parking fee but an additional fee charged by a land owner seems kinda sketchy to me. Personally, I would skip that spot. Nothing worse then greedy folks making a profit off something that we all should enjoy free.

I have an Atmos that I love. I did have some problems with the first bag but that turned out to be fit issue. Overall, it's been my favorite bag next to my REI flash.

I had no idea this place exsisted. Did you have any problems with the FLDS folk in Hilldale? I have heard stories from freinds of being followed and generally made to feel unwelcome. I have purposly not even bothered looking in that area due to their precense.

Those vacuum sealers are sweet. I don't use them for food much but use them to store produce from my garden. Definatly keeps the stink in and keeps things fresh for months.

I saw that, he did an artical a few months ago outlining an off trail route through Capitol Reef that he had spent some time developing and it looks pretty sweet. I guess sharing the beauty we have all been enjoying isn't such a bad idea.
