I would love to get a dehydrator and dehydrate my own fruit. I can't stand the stuff from the store loaded with sugar and preservatives. I do however enjoy mangoes from trader joes as they make some without sugar.
I think white pine would be a bad place for an overnighter. From my recollection the only good campsites are next to the lake so it really would not work out. I would do red pine or even maybird for an overnighter.
I took my friends and sister her a few years ago. I told them it was an easy hike, only a mile to the cave (I purposely left out the elevation gain). Let's just say they wanted to strangle me for not telling the whole truth.
I've done Deseret Peak in the fall it is gorgeous. All my pictures are on my old phone memory card but you can somewhat see the aspens.
Also one of my favorite Utah peaks.
Just found out I have July 2nd-5th off. I never get days like this off. Now the decision is do I go anywhere? My thought for now is maybe a quick local overnighter.
Awesome! I don't think I'd ever be able to bring myself to triangle peak. I've heard from other accounts it takes hours for that small stretch and I just don't think I could manage.
I will say there will still be snow. But you still might find a good spot to camp. It's not really that far so if you decided it's too cold you could leave.
I've had friends who went a couple of weeks ago here's a picture. This was may 4th
Took this today. I loved the lighting, although it looks like a bright sky. I'm still trying to get better pictures on my newer phone. Although I should at least invest in a new point and shoot since mine broke last summer.
