Well, let me put it this way. I like my a6000 enough that I've begun selling off my Canon 5D stuff. I don't have any experience using any of Canon's EF lenses with it, but Sony's own 10-18mm is fantastic. I've included a couple examples from a recent trip to Titcomb Basin.

If you're looking for a lightweight (albeit spendy) option, the Bearikade is one you should look into. Served me very well on a thru-hike of the John Muir Trail a few years ago.
