Article: Crisis in our national parks

National Parking Lots. You can't see shit from a car. Too many good lines for one post. On the other hand, we need more people to help protect these places. It's too bad some of these places get loved to death, but if they will then in turn help protect the other places, we have some...

    3/4 Highline in ±96 Hours

I think that on a well defined trail like that, I like to take advantage and go quickly. Most of my Uintas wandering these days isn't on trails, thus the allure of fast and light on the highline.

    3/4 Highline in ±96 Hours

Great. The narrative style fits the trip. Can't think, must keep walking. Jealous of this one, I want to do it in a similar style.

The Gulch to Horse Canyon Loop - From Burr Trail

Steve Allen writes about that loop in Canyoneering 3. He can describe it better than I can. It's all great.

Stephens Canyon Loop, part of Escalante Overland Route or ?

@Brendan S isn't talking about doing the technical portion of Poe, rather use the approach for Poe to get up the fold. At least I think so. I'm not really interested in the tough technical canyons-despite being a bit of a climber. I do study their routes though, because it can take you to...

Stephens Canyon Loop, part of Escalante Overland Route or ?

Both would be killer. The Steven's loop will feel more "out there" than the overland route for most of the trip. That is except Coyote Gulch, which is a (from what I see online) a complete shit show these days. The further away you get from the Escalante river, the better in my experience...

    HDR Photos - your opinions

Same. I'm still shooting an old eos t3i. My shots don't ever look super cheese HDR, but I have to blend a little bit, more frequently than I'd like.
